OC-3 (OC-3)

Definition: An Optical Carrier level-3 line, running at exactly 3 times the OC-1 base rate — 155.52 megabits per second.

How Data Transfer Conversion Works

Every unit here is defined by a fixed multiplier relative to bit/s. To convert a value from one unit to another:

result = value × (factor of "From" unit ÷ factor of "To" unit)

Bits vs. Bytes

Named Network Standards
